Outside of directing FRIDAY THE 13TH PART VI: JASON LIVES, Tom McLoughlin has had a fascinating and eclectic career. For the curious, you should definitely check out Joseph Maddrey’s book “A Strange Idea of Entertainment: Conversations with Tom McLoughlin,” where you’ll learn all about his time as a mime in the 1970s studying in Paris with Marcel Marceau, writing for Dick Van Dyke & Company, playing the killer bear-monster in John Frankenheimer’s PROPHECY and much, much more. But most interesting is his early career as the frontman for the band THE SLOTHS, a 4 piece that opened for everyone from Pink Floyd to Love to The Doors.

In a twist worthy of a horror movie third act, THE SLOTHS have gotten back together after 50 years (!) apart and they’ve just unveiled a new music video for their single “One Way Out” from their album ” You can watch the clip below and read a great interview with McLoughlin how this whole reunion came to be right here.
